（中央社記者呂欣憓台北14日電）國防部今天表示，配合政府政策及因應南部地區登革熱疫情，下令第四作戰區從今天起至18日，全面實施營區環境整理與消毒作業。

國防部指出，空置營區及眷舍同步配合委商雇工方式，加強垃圾清運及積水清除，並指派專人巡管維護，以杜絕病媒蚊孳生，防堵疫情擴散。

為了提升台南、高雄、屏東地區消毒作業能量，國防部已指派第五作戰區化學兵連，今天起支援南部地區，協助地方政府完成防疫工作，希望能盡快控制疫情，確保民眾健康與安全。

國防部指出，國軍第四、五作戰區配合地方政府投入防疫工作，8月11日至9月13日，計已派遣兵力2595人次，消毒面積總計535萬376平方公尺。

國防部表示，感謝各界對國軍支援登革熱防疫工作的關心與支持，國軍在不影響戰訓任務原則下，全力配合登革熱防治作業，提供民眾安心的居住環境。1040914
